An opportunity can open a door. But progress takes what comes next: access, support, resources and people willing to keep that door open.

Across our work, we see what becomes possible when women and girls have the conditions they need to learn, lead and thrive.

Progress is built one opportunity at a time.

Progress grows when people create opportunities for others. In Nyanga, the Sakhubuntu homework club is giving children a space to learn, play and build confidence.

From the women running the club to the team at Outliers supporting the programme, this is what community-led progress looks like. With learning through play resources and the support of partners, one opportunity can open the door to another.

Progress is built together.

Across our communities, women are building, organising, creating opportunity and shaping what comes next. Women have always led.

The question is whether their leadership is recognised, resourced and represented.
Because progress is not just about moving forward. It is about who gets to shape what comes next.

Progress starts at the beginning.
Strong foundations in early childhood development help shape what comes next.

Hear from our partners at ORT SA CAPE and The Domino Foundation about ECD teacher development, learning through play and the role of partnership in creating meaningful change.

Seventy years ago, thousands of women stood together and marched, demanding an end to the pass laws.

Their courage became part of the story of South Africa. And that story did not end in 1956.

Today, women and girls across our country continue to stand up, create opportunities, lead, build and move their communities forward.

This Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the women who continue to shape South Africa, and the power of what happens when women are given the opportunity to thrive.

Happy Women's Day.
Today, we celebrate the strength and resilience of all women across South Africa.

From evidence to impact. Partner research conducted with KaziBantu shows that while undernutrition was present in Siyaphakama schools when the programme began, no underweight learners were identified in the most recent testing. This is what’s possible when nutritious meals and safe school environments are consistent and when programmes are guided by data, not assumptions.

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow and thrive.
Our recent visit to Domino foundation reminded us that nutrition and quality early childhood development go hand in hand. Proud to support programmes that nourish children and strengthen communities.

Learning goes beyond the classroom.

Through our partnership with CVC, the Kolisi Foundation is proud to support Wilderness Foundation Africa Pride of Table Mountain Project, giving young people the opportunity to explore, learn and grow through nature.

From discovering fynbos and indigenous plants to building leadership and confidence, experiences like these inspire a lifelong connection to the environment and the world around them.

Together, we're creating spaces where young people can thrive.
