It’s been almost a year of 🤫Silent Book Clubbing🪩and I have met some wonderful people and other Silent Book Club hosts along the way! A few reads ago we all went audio book walking together🎧Rika works and lives in the UAE and would join us now and again when visiting South Africa. Marlize is my SBC neighbour and hosts the George chapter about an hour away. Due to family and work life I realized I needed to step back from this responsibility, but didn’t want SBC Mossel Bay to stop or come to an end! Rika mentioned that she will be moving back to South Africa and that her Abu Dhabi Chapter already has a volunteer host who stepped up to take over when she leaves (in July). I reached out and was so happy that Rika agreed, she will be taking over from me from July and this wonderful and global initiative can carry on here in Mossel Bay - grow, get people off their screens and into the slow and beautiful life words, books and this community offers us🥳 Thank you to the community for the wonderful initiative I got to be a part of!
