🌊 QUIZ NIGHT was a HIT! 🧠✨

Our first quiz night of the year brought out the crew in full force — full tables, tough questions, plenty of laughs, and even a “Where Am I?” round that had everyone stumped! 😅

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, tested their general knowledge, and supported the club. Every ticket and pre-order went straight towards repairing our lifesaving craft and new boards — so thank you for backing MSLC! 💙

🟥🟨Rescue by Milnerton Lifeguard Kate Rautenbach at Bintang Bali Resort, Kuta, Bali.
On Wednesday 8 July at around 13H30, barely 24 hours after arriving in Bali for a family holiday, Milnerton Surf Lifesaving Club lifeguard Kate Rautenbach was relaxing poolside with her dad when she heard splashing and a panicked yelp. She spotted an adult male struggling in the deep side of the pool, about 10 meters away. Kate immediately jumped off the lounger and dove right into the water. She reached the 30+ year old male swimmer in no time and managed to grab him and keep him afloat until the pool lifeguard arrived with a flotation device. Together they guided him to the edge of the pool.
The father had lost his pool noodle in the shallows and followed it to the deep side (1.7m) where he was suddenly out of his depth and struggling to stay above the water.

We commend Kate for her vigilance and quick response to the distressed swimmer. Her instinctive response based on years of experience as a lifeguard at Milnerton Beach averted a tragedy and gave a father back to his family.
