PrEP is self-care. Take control of your health and wellbeing along your life journey. There are a few options, like daily PrEP pills, a vaginal ring for women over 18, and PrEP injections every six months. PrEP helps protect you from HIV and is safe to use with contraceptives.

South Africa carries one of the highest burdens of HIV and TB. Kefilwe Serole, a community mobiliser at Kitso-Ke-Lesedi Social Development Programme, educates community members about the importance of early testing, prevention, and accessing care without fear or stigma. Through this work, more people are becoming open to testing for HIV, STIs and TB, as communities are reminded that help is always available at health facilities.
