π South Africa has the highest unemployment rate in the G20 β 31.9%.
This is not just a headline. This is a national emergency.
At I Am My Sister Foundation, we see every day how unemployment cripples potential β especially for young people in townships and rural communities who already face limited access to information, resources, and opportunities.
But we also see something else: resilience, talent, and a hunger to rise.
Our work is dedicated to closing this gap by:
π± Opening access to higher education information
π± Supporting matriculants with university & college applications
π± Creating community projects that build leadership and confidence
π± Providing volunteer pathways that grow skills and employability
π± Building networks that empower young people to contribute, earn, and innovate
Unemployment is not just a government issue β itβs a collective responsibility.
Community by community, learner by learner, we are shifting the narrative.
South Africaβs youth deserve more than survival.
They deserve opportunity.
They deserve dignity.
They deserve a future.
And we are committed to building it with them. πΏπ¦β¨
