We look after awesome children with a tough past and a hopeful future. Yenzani is not a place of easy stories. It is a home for orphaned, abused, neglected and abandoned children left vulnerable and in crisis. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that improves lives and empowers these children, protecting them from secondary abuse and defending all their rights. Our core valu
es are community, personal growth and quality care. At our children’s home in Midrand, we provide the 18 children in our care with as much of a family environment as possible, and a chance to blossom. We do this through hard work, determination and the help of our generous community, friends and supporters. Yenzani is a registered children’s home, Public Benefit Organisation and Non-Profit Organisation and Company operating since 2002. Once placed with us, children typically stay with us for their entire youth. We try to meet every child’s particular needs, from the physical and medical to the need for love and acceptance. We focus on providing a caring family home environment, to make sure that children leave us as balanced adults who are able to fulfil their potential and go on to lead happy, successful lives. Yenzani is an isiZulu word that means “make it happen” or “do something”.
