TEACH South Africa was started by the South African business community in direct response to finding ways to improve South Africa’s economy. After years of researching educational initiatives around the world, the TEACH South Africa founding members decided to be part of the solution by placing highly skilled and motivated recent university graduates in the classroom. This will not only benefit the learners and help close the achievement gap that persists in South Africa, but also prepares a generation of learners to be better prepared for university and the workplace.

As you write your final exams, TEACH South Africa wishes you strength, focus and success. This milestone reflects years of learning, hard work and perseverance. Take pride in how far you have come.

Trust in your preparation and approach each paper with confidence. Take time to read carefully, pace yourself and give each question your best effort. Remember to look after your wellbeing and reach out to your family, educators and friends when you need support.

Join TEACH South Africa CEO, Ms Sedibeng Ngubane, TEACH SA Alumna, Ms Zandile Ntuli, and her former learner, Mr Xolani Radebe, this Sunday at 10h10 on POWER FM’s POWER Week, hosted by Sello Hatang.

Yesterday, TEACH SA Ambassador Ms Nomcebo Khuzwayo proudly presented Fusion Secondary School with the award recognising her team’s second-place achievement in a schools competition that was recently hosted at Tshwane University of Technology.

Her five Grade 11 learners developed a working hydroponic prototype using recycled materials. Their project explored an affordable way to grow vegetables in limited spaces while addressing challenges in their community.

Through teamwork, creative problem-solving and the confidence to present their ideas, these learners turned classroom knowledge into practical innovation.

Congratulations to Ms Khuzwayo, the school and the learners! Your achievement demonstrates what is possible when curiosity is encouraged and learners are supported to believe in their abilities.

Our TEACH SA Ambassadors continue to inspire change beyond the classroom!

Recently, Ms Dineo Mbulangwe joined Young Men Rising, a community campaign founded and led by Mr Daily Ndlovu, for a visit to Bula Mahlo Children’s Home in Tembisa.

Ms Mbulangwe facilitated a session on the importance of education, encouraging the boys to recognise how learning can equip them to support themselves, protect themselves and their communities, and become responsible leaders.

Her message was clear: whether their dreams lie in sport, media or other fields, education provides a foundation for pursuing those ambitions.

We celebrate Ms Mbulangwe for investing in young minds and helping nurture the next generation of leaders.

TEACH SA Ambassador Ms Nomcebo Khuzwayo recently brought learners, staff and the community together through her wellness day initiative, featuring a fun walk to raise funds for the school while promoting physical activity and wellbeing.

For Ms Khuzwayo, the day was about creating space for everyone to get active, enjoy themselves and connect beyond the classroom. Seeing learners participate and have fun made the planning worthwhile, while support from staff and the community helped her overcome challenges along the way.

We celebrate Ms Khuzwayo for turning her idea into action and showing how our Ambassadors’ impact reaches beyond teaching to strengthen school communities.
