From Comfort to Christlikeness — Rediscovering the Church as God’s Place of Transformation

Many people choose personal comfort over growth because comfort protects their feelings, while growth confronts their patterns. Comfort allows them to remain as they are, but growth demands change, discipline, and accountability. This is why, even when choosing a place of worship, people often lean toward environments that soothe them rather than shape them.

But the truth is this: the church was never designed to keep me comfortable in my weaknesses; it was designed to transform me into Christlikeness. It is the place where God renews my mind, molds my character, confronts my patterns, and shapes my destiny. A church that only accommodates me will leave me the same; a church that transforms me will make me who God intended me to become.

A divorce ... the final stage of a relationship and marriage that once overflowed with love and care ... never happens overnight. It travels through many painful stages before it reaches rock bottom. Each stage is a warning, a chance life gives the couple to face reality, correct their attitudes, and rebuild what is breaking. But when no one takes those chances, everything collapses, and only ruins remain.

Yet even in ruins, hope still lives. If there is genuine willingness, the couple can rise again. Through divine help, hearts can soften, vision can be renewed, and strength can be restored. If both partners can agree and submit to God’s guidance, He has the power to rebuild their relationship and marriage from the ground up.

TEACHING NUGGET — CHOOSE YOUR INHERITANCE WISELY

Wakitsi: not everything that comes from your family line is meant to rest on your shoulders. Some things arrive disguised as inheritance, but in truth they are burdens. Jeremiah warned us that our fathers can pass down “lies, worthlessness, and unprofitable things.” And that is false inheritance. Any inheritance that is false includes anger, fear, poverty, addictions, and broken cycles that drain your strength instead of building your life.

But God has prepared a different inheritance for you. Paul reminds us that in Christ, you have already been given every spiritual blessing. And that is true inheritance. We are talking here about peace that steadies you, wisdom that guides you, righteousness that anchors you, purpose that directs you, and power that lifts you.

Here is the principle:
If you don’t intentionally choose your inheritance, the wrong inheritance will quietly choose your future.

So, release what is false. Embrace what is true. And live with such clarity and conviction that your children inherit Christ instead of chaos, patterns instead of pain, destiny instead of defeat.
