Who knew a little butter-making could be such a fun learning experience? 🧈🤍

Our children had the opportunity to make butter at school, learning something new while getting hands-on and enjoying the process along the way.

It's moments like these that remind us that learning isn't only about books and classrooms. Sometimes it's about getting involved, trying something for the first time, discovering how things work and making memories together. 🌱

A little update on our little one. 🤍🌱

Some of you may remember that we recently shared how our little girl was struggling with her previous formula. After a visit to the doctor, a more suitable formula was identified to help meet her needs.

We're continuing to work through this little journey, and we're so grateful to everyone who has checked in, shown concern and supported her along the way. Every little bit of care makes a difference.

We still need a little help with donations towards her new formula so that we can continue providing what she needs.

Behind every act of care, there is a community of people who choose to show up, give generously and make a difference together.

We are so grateful to have been part of the CMR Middelburg donor appreciation event and to be surrounded by such a kind and giving community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, encourage and contribute to the work being done for those who need it most. Every act of kindness matters, and we are reminded that we don't have to do this journey alone. 🌱

A little bit of good news to share. 🤍🚗

After our previous vehicle was written off, we’re grateful to now have another car that is better suited to the everyday needs of House of Miracles.

From getting the children where they need to be, to appointments, shopping and all the little things that come with caring for a home full of growing children — having a reliable vehicle makes everyday life a little easier.

It may seem like something small, but when there is already so much to take care of, one less thing to worry about can mean a lot. 🤍

Growing up can be a lot.

New emotions. Changing bodies. Insecurities. Questions. Moments where everything can feel a little overwhelming — even when you don't always know how to explain why.

And for young girls, having someone who listens, understands and makes them feel comfortable asking for what they need can make such a difference. 🤍

Sometimes care looks like sanitary products.
Sometimes it looks like privacy.
Sometimes it looks like reassurance.
Sometimes it’s simply having someone there to say, “It’s okay. You’re not alone.”

Every girl deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported and worthy of care — through every stage of becoming who she is. 🌱

A swim, a little sunshine, plenty of laughter and a day spent having fun — these ordinary moments are so important.

When we think about caring for children, we often think about food, a safe home, education and love. 🤍

But care also lives in the everyday essentials that help someone feel comfortable, clean and confident.

Nappies for little ones.
Sanitary products for young girls.
The simple things that allow children and teenagers to go about their day with dignity.

These needs might not always be visible, but they matter.

At House of Miracles, we're always looking for ways to meet the needs of the children in our care — both the big ones and the everyday ones. 🌱

A little update on our youngest little one! 🤍

We're happy to share that she's been doing well on her new formula. We're still waiting for her next weigh-in to see how she's growing, and she has another little health appointment coming up soon.

Caring for a little one involves so many small steps — finding what works, keeping up with appointments and making sure she gets the care she needs along the way.

We're grateful for every bit of progress and continue praying for healthy growth, one step at a time. 🌱

Sometimes children don't need another lesson, another schedule or another big plan.

Sometimes they just need time to be kids. 🤍

With school holidays here, the kids at House of Miracles will be spending a little more time at home instead of going off to holiday programmes.

And after a particularly difficult few weeks, that time together matters.

Because when life gets busy, stressful or unpredictable, the answer isn't to make the children feel like they are one more thing to manage.

It's to make room for them.

For laughter.
For games.
For conversations.
For silly moments.
For simply being together.

Those moments might look small from the outside, but they're part of building something much bigger — a home where children know they are wanted, cared for and safe. 🌱

Here's to a little more time together these holidays. 🤍
