At House of Miracles, one of the most consistent needs we face is simple but essential — nappies.

Soon, we will be launching a special initiative: the Nappy Run, created to help meet this ongoing need for the little ones in our care.

A new life has entered our care. 🤍

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming a newborn baby into the House of Miracles family.

Every child arrives with a story still unfolding — and with it, the responsibility to provide safety, warmth, and consistent care.

We are deeply grateful to be part of this little one’s journey and to continue serving children at their most vulnerable stage of life.

Please keep this baby in your thoughts and prayers as we step into this new season of care.

Today we honour the strength, potential, and voice of every young person in our country.

Youth Day is a reminder of both hope and reality — every child deserves safety, dignity, and care.

For some, childhood is shaped by uncertainty. For others, it is marked by needs that go unseen.

At House of Miracles, we believe every young person deserves more than survival — they deserve protection, dignity, and a place where they feel safe enough to simply be a child.

This Youth Day, we stand with every young person and the future they deserve.

Today we're celebrating a very special achievement.

One of the teenagers in our care has been selected for the Puma Netball Team! 🏐

Her dedication, commitment, and hard work have paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of what she has accomplished.

Achievements like these remind us of the incredible potential young people have when they are encouraged, supported, and given opportunities to grow.

But protection is also found in the everyday things.

Having access to personal care items, toiletries, and essential products helps teenagers feel cared for, confident, and valued.

Through our Support a Teen initiative, we continue to provide practical support to the teenagers in our care.

Child protection is not only the responsibility of organisations and social workers.

It is a responsibility shared by families, schools, neighbours, communities, and every adult who interacts with children.

Many cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation continue because warning signs are overlooked or ignored.

Child Protection Week reminds us that creating safer communities starts with awareness, action, and a willingness to speak up when something doesn't seem right.

As we reflect on Child Protection Week, we also acknowledge Foster Care Day, celebrated this past Sunday. Foster families, caregivers, and safe homes play a vital role in giving children the stability, care, and protection they deserve.

For many children, safety is something they never have to think about.

For others, it is something they have to learn.

During Child Protection Week, we are reminded that not every child grows up in an environment where they feel protected, secure, and cared for.

Every child deserves to feel safe. Every child deserves to know they are valued. Every child deserves people who will stand up for them when they cannot stand up for themselves.

At House of Miracles, we see the difference a safe and loving environment can make in a child's life.

Some needs are not always spoken about openly — but they still matter deeply.

Through our Support a Teen initiative, we want to continue helping provide everyday essentials for the teenage girls in our care, including sanitary products and personal care items.

These are small things to some people, but they can make a meaningful difference in a young girl’s confidence, comfort, and dignity.
