As an organization, we are continuously collaborating with local schools to raise awareness about issues that affect learners. We also provide crisis intervention when necessary. Learners and teachers may not always feel comfortable expressing or disclosing their daily challenges. Therefore, we offer a safe space and professional support for them.

This was more than just a gathering—it was a celebration of womanhood, a reality check on the challenges South African women face, and a call to action for us all. A safe space. A place of refuge and growth.

The business of the day was clear: women’s empowerment through storytelling, resilience, inspiration, and the sharing of vital information. It was a milestone for Engaging Parents and our partners—yet also a wake-up call. True empowerment for women in South Africa and across the continent is still work in progress.

As we observe Women’s Month, we celebrate how far we’ve come as South African women. But celebration must be paired with responsibility—we must learn from our past, fix the present, and prepare for a future we can build together. We are the glue that holds families, communities, and society together. Our work, our voices, and our unity will define the next chapter of our collective story.
