Looking for an opportunity to serve your community, gain practical experience, and earn a stipend?

The National Youth Service programme is offering young people across all 9 provinces the opportunity to participate in a 6-month programme focused on community service, skills development, and meaningful work experience that can help strengthen future career pathways.

WHO CAN APPLY?
โ€ข South African citizen with a valid ID
โ€ข Must be between 18 and 35 years old
โ€ข Live within the local municipality or community where the programme site is located
โ€ข Be able to travel easily to the implementing partners site
โ€ข Preference for unemployed youth not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
โ€ข Must be able to contribute positively to the community and complete the programme to a high standard
โ€ข Must not have participated in previous phases of the programme
โ€ข People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply

uMngeni Unemployed Graduates Forum is recruiting 50 ๐ฎ๐ง๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ž๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก for the ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ training program.

The Jumpstart project trains unemployed youth to improve job readiness and provides work experience opportunities in *Mr Price and SPAR stores. The training is run by Catalyx Foundation and funded by Mr Price Foundation & The Spar Group.

The uMngeni Unemployed Graduates Forum (MUGF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Southern African Association of Youth Clubs (SAAYC) for their Youth Led NPO/Youth Club Capacity Building Programme for 2026. Our Skills Development Practitioner (SDP), Okuhle Gwala, is currently representing the organisation at the Training and Induction sessions in Durban. This is a significant milestone for our organisation, ensuring we are better equipped and prepared to manage larger, more impactful projects as we continue to grow.
