Melkbos Rangers United

Melkbos Rangers United Building Dignity, Hope and Unity through Youth Sport Development Melkbosstrand SAPS embarked on a successful Sport Against Crime project in 2016.

Since then, the project has become very popular among young adults and children, some of whom attend schools in and around Melkbosstrand. Programmes of this nature have been found to reduce crimes typically associated with “negative recreation” social criminal activities (e.g. alcohol abuse, recreational drugs / “tik”, gangsterism, violence and teen pregnancies). As part of this initiative, a non-profit sports club known as Melkbos Rangers United was established.
