We have Professional Nurses, who are palliative care-trained and who provide physical, psycho-social and spiritual support regardless of race, disease, religion or socio-economic situation. Palliative Care as defined by the World Health Organisation is: An

approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing problems associated with life-threatening illnesses, through the prevention and relief of suffering, the early identification and impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psycho-social and spiritual. Celebrating a Remarkable Life 🎉🎈

At Nelspruit Hospice, we believe in celebrating life, and today we are honoured to celebrate a very special milestone.

On 12 June 2026, in a few minutes because we are too excited to wait...😁, Cathy Rawlinson turns 80 years young! 🌸

Cathy is a registered Hospice patient and an inspiring example of resilience, strength, and determination. Having faced cancer and now being in remission, she continues to live life to the fullest. She remains wonderfully independent, spending hours tending to her beautiful garden and enjoying walks with her beloved dog companion.

Throughout her life, Cathy has been known for her dedication, hard work, and efficiency. From a successful career in real estate to working within a law firm, she has touched many lives through her commitment and professionalism.

To celebrate this special occasion, Nelspruit Hospice treated Cathy to a relaxing facial treatment which are really small tokens of appreciation for a woman who has given so much throughout her life.

Cathy reminds us that Hospice care is not only about supporting people through difficult times; it is also about celebrating achievements, creating meaningful memories, and honouring the lives of those we serve.

From all of us at Nelspruit Hospice, we wish Cathy a truly wonderful, blessed, and joy-filled 80th birthday. May your days continue to be filled with good health, happiness, laughter, and the love of those around you. ❤️
