CMR Mpumalanga will join child protection organisations across the country in commemorating National Child Protection Week, taking place from 29 May to 5 June 2025. This important week is dedicated to raising awareness and educating communities about child protection, safety, and rights.
Throughout the week, our branches will be actively engaging communities through various initiatives, including:

πΉ School Talks and Dialogues β Educational sessions with learners and educators to promote awareness and prevention.
πΉ Public Awareness Campaigns β Active participation in campaigns addressing child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
πΉ Recognizing Child Abuse β Empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge to identify signs of abuse and take action.
πΉ Foster Care Awareness β Hosting information days and workshops to promote foster care as a vital alternative for vulnerable children.
πΉ Community Dialogues β Facilitating conversations to strengthen child protection at a local level.
From 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2025, CMR Mpumalanga provided child protection services to 9,796 children β a reminder of the ongoing need to stand together in safeguarding every child's well-being.
