What a weekend it has been! Our 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 took to the court for their league matches in the 𝐄𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞, 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 and what an experience it was...

From the energy on the court to the unity off it, our players showed up with passion, teamwork and pure determination.

And what makes this even more special? Since our 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲, this team has grown from strength to strength. New faces, new talent, and a growing family of netball stars - all coming together under one badge: Genesis.

Since the very inception of our Multi-Functional Agri-Nodes Programme, Genesis Youth Centre made a commitment to 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, to contribute a portion of our harvest to the school kitchen. Today, and every season, we proudly honour that promise.

There is nothing quite like seeing an agreement turn into impact. Fresh, healthy vegetables grown with love, now reaching the plates of learners through the school kitchen, this is what real partnership looks like.

We want to take a moment to thank the 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 for walking this journey with us. Your trust and collaboration have helped bring our vision to life, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Today, Genesis, in partnership with Panorama Skills Development Centre, hosted a powerful Youth Empowerment Workshop in celebration of Youth Month.

50 rural young women from eMhlambanyatsi and surrounding areas filled the room to tackle real issues with real solutions.

Huge thanks to our stakeholders who showed up for our community:

𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐒𝐃𝐂 - opened doors to skills development programmes that build practical knowledge.
𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 - shared farming careers, training, and farmer support.
𝐄𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐓𝐕𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 - presented course options and enrollment guidance.
𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 - provided education on reproductive health and prevention choices.
𝐍𝐘𝐃𝐀 - shared youth funding, skills programmes, business support, and mentorship opportunities.
𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 - educated us on our rights, dignity, and how to access justice.
𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐏 - led a vital session on r**e and GBV prevention and support.
𝐃𝐁𝐖 - outlined community services available to women and families.

From farming support to financial education, business registration to women’s health, today was about capacity, dignity and opportunity.

To every young woman who showed up: Thank you. Thank you for taking your self-development journey seriously. We wish you all the best in your endeavours. Keep going.

When volunteers show up, a whole community grows.

Our Genesis volunteers didn't just talk about making a difference - they showed up, got their hands dirty, and grew something REAL at Zakheleni Primary School.

This spinach represents dedication, generosity, and the heart of our community. We are so grateful.

Since the very beginning of our journey, 𝐀𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐚 has stood with us, generously donating clothes to the community we serve. That kind of partnership means the world to us, and we never take it for granted.

Yesterday, we had the great pleasure of showing our appreciation in the most genuine way we know how - with a basket of fresh spinach, grown with love at our Zakheleni Primary School garden, tended by our dedicated Genesis volunteers.

It may be a humble gift, but it carries a big message:
𝐖𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐖𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

This is what stakeholder partnership looks like - not just a one-way street, but a relationship where everyone benefits. Ackermans Dayizenza pours into our community, and we pour back with what we have. That is the Genesis way.

The journey of human progress has begun and persons living with disabilities are at the center of it.

Yesterday, 11 out of 13 persons living with disabilities signed work-based learning agreements to join our 3-month Farming Skills Programme.

This is inclusion in action. This is dignity through skills. This is what progress looks like.

We’re not leaving anyone behind.

It was a truly special milestone for our Agric-Edu Initiative under the Multi-Functional Agri-Nodes Programme at Genesis - and what a day it was...

We had the privilege of spending the morning with Grade 7 learners at Zakheleni Primary School, igniting a spark for agriculture that we hope they carry for life.

The session was all about shifting mindsets - helping our young people see that agriculture is not just a subject, it's a way of life. From the soil beneath our feet to the food on our tables, every vegetable planted at home is a step toward self-reliance, food security, and purpose.

Our Grade 7s left not just with knowledge, but with a challenge: start planting vegetables at home.

These young minds are the future of food security - and on Friday, they took their first step.

Our sweet potatoes are thriving, reminding us why seasonal farming matters. We grow with nature's rhythm and so do the young people gaining real agricultural skills through this programme.

Every crop is a step toward food security, sustainability and youth empowerment.
