Our sister Conservancy - a lovely monthly wander!

Our first 'Walk & Unwind Wednesday' for the year is coming up next Wednesday - 28th of January!

Take a slow wander with us… breathe in the river air, feel the loam underfoot, and enjoy twisted roots, tall trees, birds, insects, and all the little hidden surprises of our beautiful green reserve.

There’s no entry fee, and everyone is welcome.
Dogs are very welcome too (on leads please) — and they will definitely approve of this plan!

Fancy staying on afterwards? Bring your favourite tipple and a nibble, and settle in for a relaxed sundowner under the trees in the picnic area.

A little midweek magic - all welcome!

Can you spot the one red beaked Turn???
Keep your eyes peeled the next time you go to the beach...

Paddy Norman reported that a Caspian Turn was seen along our coastline recently - and has had our birders chirping!

This attractive bird is the largest of Southern African terns and has a conspicuous, heavy red or orange beak with a back tip.

According to Sasol Birds of Southern Africa it is a locally common resident at sheltered coastal waters and large wetlands. It occurs right around the South Africa's coastine.

Thanks Paddy for this picture you managed to get of him!
