Manenberg Pets Project Non-Profit Organisation providing comprehensive primary and secondary health care to animals. Improving animal care and preventing animal cruelty.

The organisation's main objectives are to provide a comprehensive primary and secondary health care programme to improve animal care, prevent animal cruelty and to teach correct animal practices. The secondary objectives are:

to find employment and alternative opportunities for Pitbull owners, who engage in dog fighting, as a source of income or/and a cruelty act;

to rehome dogs as companion and

working dogs;

to educate the community regarding animal related practices and occupations in order to create employment and provide these services within the community.

This Mandela day 18 July 2026 we collaborate with Ash Foundation to distribute kennels to seniors who have sterile their dogs.

We are greatfull to The Dogbox Project for donating these kennels.

Some dogs are now sleeping warm and are cosy in their new kennel.

Today Manenberg Pets lose a valuable team member. We're saying goodbye to not just a colleague but also a family member of the Manenberg Pets team. Aunty Moena has been part of Manenberg Pets for the last 13 years we had memorable times with her she brought laughter and always had a smile on her face never a dull moment when she was around. She will surely be missed. May her soul RIP.
