WELCOME ONBOARD, SAPS MALMESBURY!

The Cayd Smith Payitforward Commit is proud and grateful to welcome the South African Police Service (SAPS), Malmesbury offices, onboard our I Love Bo***es Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. Our contact person is Sgt S. Sasman.

The I Love Bo***es project is about raising awareness of breast cancer, encouraging early detection, and supporting a cause that touches the lives of so many women and families. Throughout October, we are collecting new and pre-loved bras to contribute towards this meaningful initiative.

At the Cayd Smith Payitforward Commit, our mission is rooted in compassion, kindness, and service to others. Through our various community outreach projects, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those who need support, while turning our own journey of loss into a purpose that serves others.

We believe that when communities, organizations, and individuals stand together, we can create a greater impact. Having SAPS Malmesbury join us in this initiative is a wonderful reminder that awareness and compassion are strengthened through collaboration.

WELCOME ONBOARD, TABLE VIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL!

The Cayd Smith Payitforward Commit welcome Table View Primary School to our I Love Bo***es Breast Cancer Awareness initiative! A special thank you to our contact person, Vanessa Syms Liedeman, for being part of this meaningful journey.

The I Love Bo***es project aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage conversations around early detection, and support women through the collection of new and pre-loved bras. Throughout October, we are bringing communities together to contribute towards this important cause and remind women that their health matters.

At the Cayd Smith Payitforward Commit, our purpose is to serve our communities through meaningful outreach projects that bring hope, compassion, and support to those who need it. From supporting children and families to raising awareness around important social causes, we believe that every act of kindness can make a difference.

We are especially encouraged when schools join our initiatives, because awareness starts with conversations, education, and communities that care. By standing together, we can help break the silence around breast cancer and encourage more people to become involved.

The Cayd Smith Payitforward Commit is proud to shine a light on the men who are standing alongside us in support of our Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Today, we celebrateTyreec Liedeman and Keanan Solomons, our first gents to step forward and support this vision. Thank you for using your voices and presence to help us spread awareness. You are setting an example, and we look forward to welcoming many more men who are willing to stand with us for this important cause!

Did you know? Breast cancer can affect men too. According to South Africa's National Cancer Registry, 207 men were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. Although it is much less common in men, awareness and early detection remain important. Source: CANSA

AND THE SUPPORT CONTINUES...

Tomorrow, our second group of gents will be taking on the Parkrun, showing their support for breast cancer awareness. I will be waiting for them at the finish line to cheer them on and celebrate their contribution to this cause.

This campaign is about more than collecting pre-loved bras on behalf of I Love Bo***es. It is about education, breaking down barriers, encouraging conversations and reminding our communities that breast cancer awareness belongs to all of us.

A new lump — don't ignore it
A new lump or swelling in the breast or armpit is one possible sign of breast cancer. Many lumps are not cancerous, but any new or unusual lump should be checked by a healthcare professional.

The I Love Bo***es initiative is about so much more than collecting pre-loved bras. It is about creating awareness, sharing knowledge and encouraging meaningful conversations around breast cancer.

A heartfelt thank you to Charlton Arendse, HPCSA-registered Medical Scientist (Molecular and Cellular Biology), with diagnostic experience in breast cancer testing in the private sector, and Monique Backer, Genetic Counsellor (MMedSc), HPCSA-registered, for giving up their valuable after-hours time to educate me on breast cancer.
