REJECTED BY PEOPLE,BUT CHOSEN BY GOD
One painful thing in life is rejection.
Rejection by family.
Rejection by friends.
Rejection by society.
Even rejection by people who should have loved you.
But one thing the Bible teaches us is this:
π Rejection by man does not mean rejection by God.
Some of the greatest people God used were once ignored, abandoned, mocked, or rejected.
1. JEPHTHAH β REJECTED BY HIS OWN FAMILY
π Judges 11
Jephthah was the son of a pr******te. Because of this, his brothers chased him away and denied him inheritance.
π βYou shall have no inheritance in our fatherβs house.β β Judges 11:2
He was rejected, abandoned, and treated like he did not belong.
But when Israel faced war, the same people who rejected him came back looking for help because God had placed greatness inside him.
Lesson:
People may reject your background, but God looks at your heart.
2. JOSEPH β REJECTED BY HIS BROTHERS
π Genesis 37
Josephβs own brothers hated him because of his dreams. They mocked him, threw him into a pit, and sold him into slavery.
But the pit became the pathway to the palace.
π βYou meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.β β Genesis 50:20
Lesson:
Sometimes rejection is God repositioning you for destiny.
3. DAVID β OVERLOOKED BY HIS FAMILY
π 1 Samuel 16
When Prophet Samuel came to anoint the next king, Davidβs father did not even consider him important enough to be called.
Yet God rejected all the others and chose the forgotten shepherd boy.
π βMan looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.β β 1 Samuel 16:7
Lesson:
You can be overlooked by people and still be chosen by God.
4. MOSES β REJECTED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE
π Exodus 2
When Moses first tried to help the Israelites, they rejected him.
π βWho made you ruler and judge over us?β
Later, the same Moses became the deliverer God used to free Israel from Egypt.
Lesson:
Rejection does not cancel divine calling.
