PFUMEMBE TWINS CASE - FULL UPDATE

On Sunday night, 6th September 2026, we were in Makushu Village where the community was searching for a girl child who had run away after parents found 5 girls staying in one room with boys.

We joined the search and visited that one room. We found 4 girls inside, including the 15-year-old twins from Pfumembe. During the search we found the missing girl. We brought the Pfumembe twins back home and left the other girls with their own parents. We engaged the parents of the boys and the matter was resolved.

TODAY, early morning 15th October 2026, we received a fresh call from the 67-year-old granny of the twins from Pfumembe. She reports that the twins have returned back to Musholombi Village and are staying ag*in in that same one room.

We are currently investigating:
- Who is the owner of that house/room
- How old are the boys dating these 15-year-old girls
- Who is accommodating minors without parental consent

This is no longer just a family matter. Accommodating 15-year-olds without parents' knowledge is a serious concern.

Our team is on the ground in Musholombi today.

We will NOT post names or photos of the minors. Their future matters more than likes.

We will update the community after our investigation today.

URGENT REPORT: TSHIXWADZA PRIMARY SCHOOL TOILETS

We have received a concerning report from community members regarding Tshixwadza Primary School.

According to the report, learners are risking their health and safety using toilets that are damaged and not clean.

We have not yet visited the school to verify, but we are taking this report seriously because sanitation is about dignity and health of our children.

We will be doing a verification visit soon.

In the meantime, we want to appreciate Nefuri Foundation led by Mpho Nefuri for already donating toilets to the school. As Mmbeni Foundation, we are proud of you my sister for your intervention. This is true sisterhood in community service.

We call for all stakeholders to support such efforts to ensure our children learn in a safe and dignified environment.

If you are from Tshixwadza Primary or have photos, please inbox us.

CHILD PROTECTION UPDATE | MUSINA

Today we received a heartbreaking call from a 16-year-old boy who is currently caring for his younger siblings alone while preparing for his final examinations.

He informed us that he is struggling to study because he has to take on parental duties, and efforts to get his mother to return home have been unsuccessful.

As Mmbeni Foundation, we have opened a case and we will be accompanied by SAPS tomorrow to Mopani area outside Musina to intervene in the best interest of the children.

Child abandonment is not just disrespect to families, it is a violation of children's rights.

We will provide further updates after the intervention. We appeal to parents to please prioritize the wellbeing and education of their children.

For any child protection concerns, please contact us.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM MMBENI FOUNDATION

JUSTICE FOR OUR 19-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER FROM PFUMEMBE

Mmbeni Foundation is deeply disturbed and angered by the ongoing bullying, shaming and deformation of character of a 19-year-old young woman from Pfumembe by members of her own community.

This young girl has been falsely labeled, insulted and called a pr******te - without any proof. These cruel accusations have damaged her dignity, her mental health and her future.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

To call a young woman such names is Gender-Based Violence. It is character assassination. It is a crime ag*inst her humanity.

As Mmbeni Foundation, we stand firmly with this young girl.

We demand the following:

1. An immediate and unconditional public apology from all those involved in bullying and spreading lies about her.
2. That the same mouths and same social media platforms used to destroy her name must be used to clean her name. Post the apology. Clear her name publicly.
3. We call on community leaders, parents and youth to protect our girls, not to destroy them.

To the young daughter of Pfumembe: You are not alone. You are not what they call you. You are worthy, you are loved, and Mmbeni Foundation will fight for you until your name is cleared and your dignity is restored.

We have opened a case file and we are monitoring the situation closely. Bullying has consequences.

We call on the Pfumembe community to do what is right.

LIMPOPO GBV REPORT | JAN-MARCH 2026 🚨
TELLING THE TRUTH. TRANSFORMING LIVES.

The Limpopo Province crime stats for Jan-March 2026 show a painful reality that we cannot ignore.

KEY FINDINGS FROM TOP 30 STATIONS:

1. Thohoyandou (Vhembe) remains highest at 74 cases, but shows a 5.1% decrease - improvement, but still too high.
2. Mankweng, Seshego, Giyani, and Tzaneen all show INCREASES compared to 2025. Tzaneen shows 100% increase.

MOST SHOCKING TRUTH:
61-92% of all r**e cases happen INSIDE RESIDENCES - where victim and perpetrator know each other as family, friends, or neighbours.

In Vhembe District alone, 92 cases happened inside homes. The danger is not in the bush - the danger is at home, by people we know.

As MMBENI FOUNDATION, we say:

πŸ”΄ Let's stop normalizing abuse at home
πŸ”΄ Let's teach our boys to respect women and children
πŸ”΄ Let's report cases early - do not hide them for family name
πŸ”΄ Let's support victims to speak out

This fight needs all of us - Traditional Leaders, Pastors, Tavern owners, Parents, Schools.

πŸŽ“ SUPPORTING OUR MATRIC CLASS OF 2026 πŸŽ“
MATRIC EXAMS HAVE STARTED!

Today our Grade 12 learners across the country started writing their first final exam paper.

As MMBENI FOUNDATION, we know what this means β€” 12 years of hard work comes down to these few weeks.

That is why starting today, our team is visiting all tavern and shebeen owners around our villages to make a humble request:

πŸ™ PLEASE HELP OUR CHILDREN PASS πŸ™

We are asking you to:

πŸ”‡ Reduce loud music and functions during exam time (Oct - Nov)
πŸ”‡ No loud speakers late at night when learners are studying and resting
πŸ”‡ Do not sell alcohol to minors in school uniform

Education is the only weapon our children have to change their future. One night of loud music can make a child fail a paper they prepared for the whole year.

To all tavern owners β€” thank you in advance for being fathers and mothers of this community. Let's protect our children's future together.

To our Grade 12 learners:

We are proud of you. We are praying for you. Study hard, stay away from distractions, and make us proud! You can do it!

If you see a tavern disturbing learners at night, please inbox us confidentially.

Let's give our children a quiet environment to pass.

UPDATE: GOOD NEWS FROM MAKUSHU VILLAGE

THE MOTHERS HAVE BEEN FOUND.

Following our earlier post about the 2 mothers from Makushu Village who had left 4 children behind, we are happy to give you a positive update.

Our team has confirmed that both women have been found in the Mopani area outside Musina and they are now on their way home.

We want to sincerely thank:

The community of Makushu for sharing information and protecting the children
πŸ™ SAPS and the Department of Social Development for their swift action
πŸ™ Everyone who shared our post and showed concern for the children

WAY FORWARD:

As MMBENI FOUNDATION , we will be holding a family meeting this weekend with all stakeholders to discuss a way forward β€” to ensure:

- The children are safe and back in school immediately
- The mothers get the support and counseling they need
- A proper care plan is put in place so this does not happen ag*in

Our goal is not to judge or shame anyone, but to protect the children and restore the family.

We believe in second chances and in building families, not breaking them.

We will keep you updated after the weekend meeting.

No child should miss school. No child should be left without proper care.

Thank you for being a community that cares.

🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT & CHILD WELFARE CONCERN - MAKUSHU VILLAGE 🚨

The MMBENI FOUNDATION has received a serious child welfare concern from Makushu Village.

What is happening:
Two mothers β€” one aged 33 and another aged 23 β€” have reportedly left their homes, each leaving behind 2 minor children.

- The 33-year-old mother allegedly left her children under the care of her 16-year-old child.
- The 23-year-old mother allegedly left her children under the care of an 83-year-old elderly man.

The children have not been attending school since schools reopened for Term 4, and this is putting their safety, education and well-being at risk.

Through our community investigation, information received indicates that both mothers might be in the Mopani area, outside Musina, with their boyfriends. This information has been shared with the relevant authorities.

Current Actions:
This matter is now receiving attention from the Department of Social Development and the South African Police Service (SAPS) who are looking into the whereabouts of the mothers.

Our Appeal as MMBENI FOUNDATION:

1. To the mothers β€” please return home, your children need you. If you are facing challenges, please reach out. There is help.
2. To the community β€” if you have any information that can help reunite these children with their mothers or get them proper care, please contact SAPS or Social Development, or inbox us confidentially.
3. To all parents β€” Let's protect our children. Leaving children without proper adult care is dangerous and ag*inst the Children's Act.

The safety and education of children is everyone's responsibility. We cannot look away when children are not in school and are left vulnerable.

We will continue to monitor the situation and work with authorities to ensure the children are safe, fed, and back in school.

If you have information, please contact:
SAPS / Social Development
Or MMBENI FOUNDATION inbox β€” Confidentiality will be respected.
