Today we celebrate an incredible milestone in the life of Xander Kordom.

After completing the QRRC programme in Magaliesburg, Xander has reached one year of sobriety and is now giving back by serving as a volunteer at Container Homes in Krugersdorp.

His journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that lives can be restored.

In Xander's own words:

"First, I give all glory to God for carrying me through this year.

A year ago I was broken, but by grace I was not destroyed. Every sober morning was a gift I didn't earn, and every hard night was met with a strength that wasn't my own.

To my family, my QRRC family: thank you for being the hands and feet of God in my life. Your prayers, your accountability, and your love showed me what faith in action looks like.

I now know there is hope, there is healing, and there is a purpose for your life beyond addiction.

I'm grateful for the peace I have today, for the chance to serve, and for Jehovah God who restores what was lost. One day at a time, with God's help, I'll keep walking this path.

Thank you, and God bless you all."

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the "I Matter" Organisation for their recent visit to our centre.

Their team spent time with our beneficiaries and generously donated used clothing, handmade scarves, head warmers, and toys for the children.

At QRRC, every changed life is a story worth celebrating 🙏

Bafana Motau from Randfontein came to QRRC wanting to leave his drug problems behind and build a better future for himself. During his 6 months at the centre, he worked in Agricultural activities including planting, bedding, and gardening 🌱

Through dedication, guidance, faith, and hard work, Bafana says he learned how to become a more responsible and trustworthy person within his community.

Today, he gives thanks to God, the management, and everyone at QRRC who supported him on his journey towards a new life.

🌧️ PREPARING FOR THE RAINY DAYS AHEAD 🌱

At QRRC, every little improvement makes a big difference.
Our hardworking gardening team has been busy digging trenches to improve water flow during heavy rains and help protect the grounds from flooding and water damage. 💪🌿

Proper drainage not only keeps pathways safer and cleaner, but also helps preserve the environment and the spaces used daily by the animals and staff at the centre.

A big thank you to the team for putting in the hard work behind the scenes — rain or shine! 🌧️👏
