This is how we celebrated our heroes this June 16 🇿🇦💚

We came together. We shared laughter. We told stories.
But most importantly, we reminded our young people that it’s OKAY to unwind and let your mind rest for a bit ✨

Our heroes of ’76 fought so we could have freedom. Today we honour them by protecting the freedom of our minds too. Rest is not weakness. Joy is not disrespect. Laughter is part of healing and keeping memories alive💙

To every young person reading this: You carry their legacy. You are allowed to celebrate, to breathe, to rest. You matter, and your mental health matters too 👑

Dear Mjita 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

You don’t need the world to tell you how to act or dictate who you should be. Your masculinity is not measured by how much you suffer in silence.

Self-care days have often been labeled “feminine” or “just for women” — but let’s break that lie.
Taking time to rest, reflect, and refill is soft and It a unique form of strength. It’s a crucial part of self-love and your healing journey 🌱

Whether it’s a day OUT in nature, at the gym, or a day IN with your music, food, and peace — YOU DESERVE IT.

YOU MATTER.
YOU ARE LOVED.
YOU ARE WORTHY of a day that’s just for you. No guilt. No excuses. Just you pouring back into you ✨

Happy Self-Care Day, King. Rest is productive too 👊🏾

To our elders, we celebrate you today 💐
You crawled so that we could walk. Your wisdom will forever be appreciated, and your stories + experiences are truly museum-worthy 📖✨

You are valued members of our society. Thank you for the sacrifices, the lessons, and the love you’ve poured into every generation.

Happy International Day of Older Persons! We see you. We honour you. We need you 💙

“I’m fine.”
Two words. A whole mask.
If you’re tired of pretending you’re okay when you’re not — this is your sign to stop.
Talk to a friend. See a counselor. Pray. Breathe.
You weren’t made to carry it all alone.

Strength isn’t hiding the hurt.
Real strength is having the courage to say “I’m not okay” and actually mean it.
Too many men were taught to suffer in silence. Let’s unlearn that together.
Men feel. Men hurt. Men heal too.

Tag a brother who needs to see this.

Dear Mjita

You are NOT limited to what everyone says you are 👑
You can change your narrative. What you did and who you were does NOT define you. You are worthy of the grace you need to give yourself 💙 🩷

You matter. You are valued.

It’s okay to fall and get up. Remember, “ monna ha a oe o a sekama" takes away from your experiences falling doesn’t take away from you. Falling means you made mistakes, and it’s okay to rest, learn from them, and rise again 🌱✨
