🎥 COMRADES 2026 FEATURE SERIES 🎥

Over the past few days, I had the privilege of speaking to some of our 2026 Comrades Marathon participants about what this journey means to them, how they have prepared, the challenges they have faced, and what motivates them to keep showing up when the training gets tough.

The road to Comrades is never just about the kilometres. It is about sacrifice, discipline, resilience, purpose, and the stories that carry us through every training run.

This feature captures the voices and experiences of those who chose to share a glimpse into their Comrades journey with us.

More than just a feature, these stories become part of our club’s history. Long after the medals have been earned and the running shoes have been hung up, these reflections will remain as souvenirs of a remarkable journey, allowing future generations of runners to look back, learn from, and be inspired by those who came before them.

💙🤍🧡 GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY 🧡🤍💙

Today, Mafikeng Road Runners Club had the honour of handing over canned food and cleaning materials to Oratile Semunza Disability Centre in Makhubung.

This handover forms part of our ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting vulnerable members of our community. We are truly inspired by the incredible work done by the management, caregivers, and staff at the centre, and we are grateful for the warm welcome we received.

A heartfelt thank you to our members who volunteered their time and energy to make this initiative a success. Your selflessness and teamwork continue to reflect the true spirit of ubuntu and service.

Together, we continue to run for a cause and make a meaningful difference — one step at a time.
