πΎ CALL FOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The SPCA Mafikeng invites committed, community-minded individuals to join its Management Committee and help guide the organisation in promoting animal welfare and preventing cruelty in our region.
π About the Role
The Management Committee is the governing body of the SPCA and is responsible for strategic oversight, sustainability, and ensuring that the Society operates in accordance with its constitution and the standards of the National Council of SPCAs. οΏΌ
Committee members serve in a voluntary capacity and play a critical role in supporting staff, strengthening community relations, and securing resources necessary for animal care. οΏΌ
π§ Key Responsibilities
Committee members will be expected to:
1. Provide governance and strategic direction
2. Uphold SPCA policies, rules, and animal welfare standards
3. Support and participate in fundraising initiatives
4. Promote positive community engagement and partnerships
5. Attend monthly meetings and contribute to decision-making
6. Assist with sustainability and resource mobilisation
These functions align with typical SPCA committee duties, including governance, fundraising, and ensuring proper operations. οΏΌ
π€ Desired Skills & Experience
We welcome applicants with skills in:
1. Finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
2. Legal or compliance expertise
3. Marketing, fundraising, or communications
4. Corporate partnerships & CSI
5. Governance or nonprofit management
A passion for animal welfare and a willingness to serve the community are essential.

1. Must be willing to serve in a voluntary capacity
2. Ability to attend meetings and participate in activities
3. Commitment to ethical conduct and SPCA values
4. Police clearance may be required
