Weekly Recap

Yesterday 08 May 2026, we celebrated World Social Work Day together with the 10 years of service awards of 2 of our colleagues Ms Kegomoditswe Daphney Madito our Seniour Social Worker and Ms Sekao Joyce Masibi our Family Supporter. Our Director Ms Mahoko received Ms Masibi's award on her behalf as she was not feeling well. It was a day that the lord had made and we shared a mixture of emotions. Ms Francina Hope Masibi (Former Director of FAMSA Mafikeng) was our guest of honour and she delivered a heart felt key note address.

Special thanks to Ms Francina Hope Masibi (Special Guest) and Mr Lemogang Leshomo (our Resident Pastor). Thanks to all FAMSA Mafikeng staff members for working together towards making this event memorable. πŸ™

Daily Recap

Today on 24 February 2026, 4 of our officials took to Mogosane Primary School to donate school shoes and bags to the less privileged learners. This initiative is part of our Opharned and Vulnerable Children Programme which is funded by the National Lotteries Commission.

Our Opharned and Vulnerable Children Programme is aimed at providing children with psychosocial support which enhances and restores dignity and pride to our young and promising minds. No child should be defined by their home circumstances. 20 learners were provided with a school bag and a pair of school shoes each.

We would like to extend a hand of gratitude to the National Lotteries Commission as our funder for making it possible for us to touch the lives of these young people positively πŸ™. We would also like to thank the principal and educators of Mogosane Primary School for their cooperation in helping us identify these learners.

FAMSA Mafikeng is your one stop shop for family care services in Mahikeng. Book your appointment with us on 018 381 3091.

Long overdue Recap 😊
We have been busy ☺️

On Thursday 22 January 2026 we visited Kabe Village in Ward 2 to donate the clothes previously donated to our office by North West University, to the deserving families as identified through one of our outreach programmes.

We also took some of the clothes to Maiyaiyane Village in Ratlou Local Municipality to be donated to deserving families in the community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the North West University's Student Counselling Centre as well as the Students leadership for their generosity which has touched the lives of the most vulnerable in a positive way. πŸ™
