Good day Gophers

Our first Golf Day is now behind us, and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day after the wonderful rain we received.

We had 24 players participate, of which 3 were ladies and 3 were Youth players.

The winners were as follows:
🏆 1st place: Dries Erasmus – 33 points
🥈 2nd place: Piet Atlas – 32 points (count-out)
🥉 3rd place: Deon Louw

🌸 Ladies Winner: Juan-Marie Pienaar – 27 points
⭐ Junior Winner: Jovan van Zyl – 44 points (count-out)

⛳ Nearest to the pin:
• Holes 6 & 15 – Frans Grobler
• Holes 8 & 17 – Reghart Pienaar

Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to every player who participated and made the day a success.

Gophers Year-End Function – Lydenburg Golf Club 2025

On Sunday, 30 November 2025, 32 players participated in the Gophers Year-End Function Golf Day.

Firstly, as the committee, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to every Sponsor and Gopher player for your support, attendance, and contributions throughout the year. Without you, this year would not have been a success.

We are grateful and proud to share that in 2025 we were able to give back a total of R41,451.49 to the Lydenburg community. To every recipient who received sponsorship – for us as Gopher players it was truly a privilege to support each one of you.

We trust that in the year ahead we will continue to build on what we have already sown in the Lydenburg community.

Hope you had a great day yesterday on the course and at the Year End Function. Sorry I wasn't with you all.

On behalf of the Gophers Mission, I would like to appeal to all Members to assist in the tragic destruction of many Wendy Houses at Soli-Deo Gloria following the mini--tornado that took place yesterday (see photos) and destroyed/damaged accommodation and personal possessions.
Susan & I will control and monitor a "Soli Disaster Fund" for repairs for tenants from donations deposited into the Gophers account. As reference please state Soli Disaster when depositing.
Your urgent support will be greatly appreciated.

On Sunday, 2 November 2025, 18 Gophers took part in our second last Gophers Golf Day of the year at Chrome Golf Club.
We would like to say a big thank you to Chrome Golf Club for all their effort and hospitality – it was a fantastic day!

On Sunday, 7 September, 15 Gophers teed off at Chrome Golf Club.

A big thank you to Chrome Golf Club for their support and all the effort that went into making our Golf Day a success.
