Charismatic Rhythms Community Arts Hub (Referred to as Charismatic Rhythms) is a creative social enterprise registered as a non-profit organisation that advocates for the development of artists who show an appetite for developement. We believe that exposure to the Arts can help develop many positive skills and capacities that are valued by leaders and employers, such as persistence, collaboration,

creative thinking, problem solving, motivation and good health. Many of us enjoy the Arts-music, theatre, dance, poetry, crafts and visual arts. They can make our world seem more beautiful, bringing us joy and new perspective, and that is why we exist. Charismatic Rhythms Community Arts Hub (Referred to as Charismatic Rhythms) is a creative social enterprise registered as a non-profit organisation that advocates for the development of young people who show an appetite for developement. The organisation utilises the creative methods of the arts namely, Music, Dance, Drama, Theatre, poetry, visual arts & crafts to facilitate various art projects. Established in 2015 Charismatic Rhythms currently operates in Makhado, Limpopo province in South Africa. Our main objective is to partner with like-minded individuals, institutions and organisations to offer professional opportunities for young artists to hone their crafts through education & training.

🎶🥁 **Celebrating Our Heritage Through Rhythm, Sound and Creativity!** 🇿🇦

As we celebrate **Heritage Month**, our young participants continue to connect with the rhythms that tell the stories of who we are. Through **Marimba, Drumming and Percussion training**, they are not only learning musical skills, but also exploring culture, identity, collaboration and the power of indigenous knowledge.

Every beat of the drum, every melody from the marimba and every rhythm created together becomes a reminder that our heritage is alive — passed from one generation to another through creativity, participation and shared experiences.

Through Phetoho – Arts for Social Change, we use the arts as a powerful tool for transformation, empowering young people to celebrate their roots, express their voices and reimagine a better future.

This Heritage Month, we celebrate the sounds, stories and traditions that connect us and move us forward.

🎭 **Theatre is where words come alive.**

Through training and rehearsals, our participants are exploring text and poetry beyond the page—using voice, movement, emotion, imagination and the body to transform written words into powerful theatrical experiences.

The theatre-making process allows young artists to experiment, question, collaborate and discover new ways of telling stories. It is a space where creativity meets reflection, and where individual voices become collective expressions.

Through this journey, participants are not only developing performance skills, but also building confidence, critical thinking, communication and a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

🎭🥁🎶 CREATIVITY IN ACTION | BUILDING CHANGE THROUGH THE ARTS

Every afternoon, our creative space comes alive with rhythm, movement, storytelling and imagination! Through our Afterschool Arts Programme, proudly interconnected with the newly launched Phetoho – Art for Social Change Project, young people are given an opportunity to explore, learn and express themselves through the transformative power of the arts.
From Indigenous Music training in Marimba, Drumming and Percussion, to dynamic Dance styles including Amapiano, Street Dance and Xibelani, as well as Theatre and Performance, our participants are developing artistic skills while building confidence, discipline, collaboration and creative expression.

Facilitated by the passionate creative practitioners Thandiwe Dube, Kamogelo Raphadu, Lebogang M Maluleka these sessions continue to create meaningful spaces where young people can discover their voices and become active contributors to social change.
