Guardian Angels HSLT As the Care Group of HSLT, we take responsibility for the well-being of the students of our school 😇 Die Guardian Angels is gestig in 2007 deur Juf.

🙏 PRAYER IN THE SQUARE 2026

On 16 September, the assembly square at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt became a place of prayer.

Learners were invited to anonymously write down the things they wanted us to pray about — and together, 763 prayer requests were received.

We took every prayer card and placed them together in the shape of a cross — a visual reminder that we can bring every burden, every hope and every situation to Jesus. ❤️

🙏 THE TOP 5 PRAYER REQUESTS

📚 Prayers for Their Future — 160
❤️ Prayers for Their Relationships — 87
🙏 Prayers for Healing & Health — 60
🤝 Prayers for Provision — 51
🌱 Prayers for Their Walk with God — 45

That evening, at our annual One Big Bash, we brought these prayers before the Lord.

🙌 We worshipped.
🔥 We prayed.
📖 We shared a short message.
🍡 And yes… there were marshmallows around the fire!

But above all, we were reminded that no prayer is too small, too big or too personal to bring before God.

The prayer cards were anonymous — but God knows every name, every story and every need behind them.

763 prayers. One Cross. One God who hears. ✝️

🥫 You "CAN" Do It! | GIVING BACK TOGETHER 🥫

What started as the “entrance fee” for We’ve Got Character Day became something so much bigger.

Instead of money, our learners brought cans of food — turning a day about character into an opportunity to give back to our community.

And together, we collected an incredible:

🔥 1,905 cans of food
🔥 Approximately R57,150 in value

Every can represents someone who chose to give, care and make a difference. Through our You Can Do It Project, these donations will be given back to the community through SAVF.

A huge thank you to Rhodes and Nicolene van Zyl for their generous contribution, and to every learner, parent and member of our school community who played a part. 🙌

Thank you to Charity Musina (Chairperson) and Joyce Sadiki (Social Worker) from SAVF for being part of this special moment.

1,905 cans. One school. One community. One big difference. 😇

🎨 WE’VE GOT CHARACTER DAY | 16 SEPTEMBER
Our school was filled with colour, energy and character! 🔥
For We’ve Got Character Day, our learners chose a character value they wanted to represent and promote at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt — and they certainly brought those colours to life! 🙌
❤️ Red = Love
💛 Yellow = Joy
💙 Blue = Peace
💚 Green = Patience
🧡 Orange = Kindness
🤍 White = Goodness
💜 Purple = Faith
🩵 Aqua = Humility
🖤 Black = Self-control
🩷 Pink = Compassion
It was amazing to see so many learners choosing to stand for values that can make our school a better place.
Because character is not just something we wear for a day — it’s something we choose to live every day. 😇
Here’s a look at some of the amazing moments from We’ve Got Character Day! 📸

🎨 WE’VE GOT CHARACTER DAY | 16 SEPTEMBER

What kind of influence are we having on the people around us?

1 Corinthians 15:33 reminds us: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

That’s why We’ve Got Character Day is about more than wearing a colour. It’s about reminding ourselves that the people we surround ourselves with, the choices we make, and the values we live by all shape our character.

On 16 September, our learners chose a character value they wanted to represent and promote at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt

❤️ Love | 💛 Joy | 💙 Peace | 💚 Patience | 🧡 Kindness | 🤍 Goodness | 💜 Faith | 🩵 Humility | 🖤 Self-control | 🩷 Compassion

The question is not only, “What colour are you wearing?”
It’s “What character are you choosing to live out?” 😇

CHARACTER IN ACTION: KINDNESS 🧡

Kindness is choosing to care, encourage, and make a difference in someone else’s day — even when no one is watching.

At school, kindness can look like including someone who feels left out, helping a classmate, speaking words that build others up, showing respect, and simply being there when someone needs a friend.

📖 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

One small act of KINDNESS can make a big difference. 🪽😇
