This introduces T.P Music Academy (TPMA), a registered non profit

organisation and Public Benefit Organisation(PBO). The TPMA

currently manages a music program in the rural Limpopo out of a

centre within walking distance of their beneficiaries. The purpose of the TPMA is to provide teenagers an affordable

opportunity to develop their interest in music by providing access

to music equipmen

t, coaching and performing their skills with the

purpose of forming bands that perform confidently and regularly in

public. The TPMA draw students from different socio economic backgrounds

and creates meaningful shared experiences to promote social

cohesion and understanding. The students that participate in this

program are self motivated, hard working, diligent and determinate. Many excel in their academic studies and are emotionally mature

for their age. These qualities are often identified in children that

participate in a well structured and meaningful music program.
