Communities without Borders NPC Hosts Joyful Christmas Party for Children of Saldanha Bay
Saldanha Bay, Western Cape – 20 December 2025

Communities without Borders NPC, led by CEO & Founder Carmen Rodgers, proudly hosted a heartwarming Christmas party yesterday for the children of Saldanha Bay. The event brought smiles, laughter, and festive cheer to many young faces in the community, with the children receiving delicious food parcels and wonderful presents. Highlights included thrilling waterslides, jumping castles, a live DJ spinning festive tunes, exciting soccer games, and many more fun activities that kept everyone entertained throughout the day.

This uplifting event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Communities without Borders NPC.
We extend a heartfelt and huge thank you to our valued partners and supporters: Langebaan Spar, the Hopefield Community Local Company, and CEO Adelaide Ruiters from Adelaide Ruiters Mining & Exploration (ARME). Their kind contributions helped create lasting memories for the children.
A special thank you also goes to Langebaan Animal Care for their generous donation of clothing, which we were able to share with the Saldanha Bay community.

A huge thank you to Chantal Tejada and John Mclachlan for joyfully playing Mother & Father Christmas – your magical presence brought extra sparkle and excitement to the day! 🤶🎅🎁🎉🌲🎄

VIR ONMIDDELLIKE VRYSTELLING

Kerspartytjie vir Kinders – Saldanhabaai

Die organisasie Communities without Borders NPC, Weskus Cochoqua stam in vennootskap met Saldanhabaai Tigers RFC kondig met trots ’n Kerspartytjie vir Kinders aan wat daarop gemik is om die kinders van Saldanhabaai gedurende die feestyd te vier, te bemoedig en op te hef.

Die geleentheid vind plaas op Saterdag, 20 Desember 2025, by die Diazville Sportgrond, vanaf 15:00 tot 18:00. Kinders kan uitsien na ’n dag propvol pret met waterglybane, springkastele, lewendige DJ-vermaak, asook kos en verversings.

As deel van hierdie inisiatief sal 500 Kersgeskenke aan kinders uitgedeel word. Ouers en voogde word vriendelik aangemoedig om hul kinders tussen die ouderdomme van 6 en 14 jaar te bring om saam met ons ’n veilige en vreugdevolle dag te geniet. Ouers en voogde is welkom om die hele dag teenwoordig te wees en toesig te hou.

Weens die waterglybane word ouers en voogde vriendelik versoek om handdoeke en swemklere vir die kinders saam te bring.

Hierdie gemeenskapsinisiatief word georganiseer deur Paramount Chief Carmen Rodgers en haar span van die Weskus Cochoqua Stam, wat ook die Hoof Uitvoerende Beampte en Stigter van Communities without Borders NPC is, saam met haar toegewyde span. Die geleentheid weerspieël ’n voortgesette verbintenis tot jeugontwikkeling, gemeenskapseenheid en die skep van positiewe herinneringe vir ons toekomstige leiers. Die Voorsitter van Saldanha Tigers RVK Heinrich Koopman verwelkom die inisiatief omdat die groter visie van die klub is om hoop te skep vir die Gemeenskap van Saldanhabaai, Diazville.

’n Spesiale hoogtepunt van die dag sal die teenwoordigheid van Kersvader, vertolk deur MP Saintes Van Wyk en sy span, wees wat saam met ons sal feesvier en feestelike vreugde onder die kinders sal versprei.

Ons wil graag ons opregte dank en waardering uitspreek aan ons wonderlike borge en skenkers wat hierdie geleentheid moontlik gemaak het:
Langebaan SPAR, Adelaide Ruiters van ARME, en die Hopefield Local Wind Farm Community Company. Julle ondersteuning maak ’n werklike en blywende verskil in ons gemeenskap.

Earlier this week, the administrator of Feed the Need – a vital initiative serving our community – was the victim of a robbery and hijacking in Cape Town, suffering significant personal losses. As a result, Feed the Need is currently without any form of communication.

Today we had the privilege to spend the day in Witteklip, ward 2 Vredenburg with Lescha Casper owner of
Bumblebee day care pre school and nursery. She also fosters children while they on the waiting list to be placed in a good family. It was a privilege to make some warm soup & bread and donate more food for the cold days ahead.
