When Hope Feels Out of Reach, Sometimes All It Takes Is Someone Who Cares ❤️
Recently, we met a young person who was in a very difficult situation. He had applied for his ID in the Eastern Cape, but because the ID must be issued in the province where he applied, he needs to travel back there to collect it.
The challenge was that he simply did not have the money to make the journey. There is currently no one working in his home, and there was no financial support available to help him travel. Without his ID, he was stuck — unable to properly move forward and access many of the opportunities available to him.
He had begun to lose hope.
That changed when he met one of our field workers.
Our work is not always about big things. Sometimes it is about seeing a young person who feels forgotten, listening to their story, and helping them take one step forward.
