The Highwaymen Barbershop Chorus Page The Highwaymen Barbershop Chorus Past and present members and fans of the Westville based mens group of Barbershop singers.

The Highwaymen meet every Monday evening to practice the art of singing a capella a selection of songs arranged in the Barbershop style and to enjoy the warm company of this wonderful group. The current membership of almost 20 is barely strong enough to cope with inevitable diary conflicts and new voices are actively sought. The nature of barbershop harmony demands that members must have the abili

ty to learn to sing in tune and to accurately follow the written parts comprising the characteristic ringing chords of Barbershop harmony. Members are not required to boast any professional music experience because the goal is to enjoy making music together and to share this joy with others. From time to time The Highwaymen enjoy singing out and about when invited by social groups, private residential institutions, concert organisers. Early in the Spring of 2011 they spent a fun-filled day trip along the Midlands Meander where diners at several restaurant venues enjoyed their vocal talent and dropped a few pennies into the collection hat.
