Today WTSA:
Has programmes in all 9 provinces
Has 500 plus active participants on a weekly basis
Has over 50 active centres at schools and clubs
Hosts 6 International events,
Has 3 players ranked in the top 12 in the world,
Has four athletes (Kgothatso Montjane, Lucas Sithole, Evans
Maripa and Leon Els) who qualified for the 2016 Paralympics in
Rio, Brazil. The achi

evements to date have largely been made possible by our sponsor Airports Company South Africa (ACSA). The sponsorship initially started by ACSA providing chairs to be programme. They then expanded their involvement to include funding. The NLDTF also granted us funding in 2009/2010 to grow our programme, provide equipment and deliver superstars for South Africa.
