LGBQT is a community that has existed for centuries but has failed to get recognition from municipalities from a grassroot level. We are a community that is marginalized, constantly abused, r***d, discriminated, hated for socially not conforming to the societies social construction of what it means to be a man or a woman. The constitution of SA stipulates that we all equal disregard of our sexuali
ty, yet we still live in communities where homephobes and queerphobes dominates and anything outside of heteronormative ralationships is regarded as a sin or an outcast. The LGBTQ community is one of the brightest and innovative community because we are focused, therefore integrated into the mainstream development alot could be achieved. That is the reason we here, we want to change peoples mind on how they look and perceive the LGBQT community. We want to introduce people into our world, our culture, diversity, how we think and look at the world rather than how we look, dress, walk nor our soft voices. We wanna start programmes that will speak and connect with a gay child out there who does not understand where he or she fits.
