Proposed Action
The eradication of learning barriers which include, but are not limited to, subject choice, neglect from parents and teachers
and gang involvement. We want to invite role players such as parents, school administrators, teachers, Principals, SGB, friends of affected learners, neighbors, community leaders, local government, and local businesses, to take part in our activities. Expected Results
We want children to stay in school while the unemployed youth obtain a set of skills which will assist them to be performing to their maximum, in their respective career fields. We hope to see economic development in our community whereby, more unemployed young people open businesses to make a living while assisting other unemployed community members with job opportunities. Social Returns
• Learners who stay in school will make more life affirming choices, for instance they will not engage in sexual activities which could make them parents at an early age.
• If the atmosphere in school caters for multiple intelligences, learners will not drop out of schools.
• Criminal activities will be less in our community. Boredom and extreme poverty are the leading causes of crimes such as petty theft.
• More youth will be employed.
• The economy of the country will develop and dependency on the government for social security grants will decrease.
• The more skilled the youth are, the better the chances of self-employment as some may opt to open small businesses
• A high rate of teenage pregnancy will be reduced through the implementation of interactive sessions where experts employ key strategies to the effect of solving the daunting problem.
