Our beautiful Hannah...super proud of her ❤️
I have to share this with our Hannah - family 🥰❤
10 years Hannah and I have co-slept. (Meaning she sleeps next to me in my bed) Ever since that first seizure at the wee age of 2. Over the years, and as we gained control over her epilepsy, we've tried to get her back into her own bed and her own special room, but we've had no success. I actually gave up on it and made peace with the fact that I will always share my bed with her. Don't get me wrong, its lovely to sleep next to her (when she's not attacking us in the night 😅) but it's always been our hope that Hannah will gain the necessary confidence and independence again, to sleep in her own bed.
Even on her weekends home from M&R Centre of Excellence for autistic children and adults she has still slept in my bed.... Until Thursday...
Thursday night was her first night home for the holidays. Her wonderful 'home away from home' has closed until the 9th of Jan. And lo and behold, Hannah PUT HERSELF TO BED!!!! 8pm rolled around, we did evening meds and a half hour later, I found her curled up in her own bed, fast asleep 😅😍🥰
I couldn't and still can't believe it. M&R have literally changed our lives for the better, hannahs first and foremost. And we cannot thank them enough. 🥰🙏❤
