We use to be home for older children in the system, which used to to be in West Village and now have restored an old house which is in Krugersdorp West, to a home and refuge for abandoned babies. House Jade is able to house up to 12 babies or toddlers. We are a community project and the subsidy we receive will not cover all our expenses, we are depended on and need of community involvement to make
this project a great success. We are a NPO and can provide a section 18A certificate. Because we have only started receiving babies during lock down 3, the community is only slowly becoming aware of House Jade, we would love the support, input and sponsorship from institutions and people in the greater Westrand area! We are so blessed to have received donations from various people and businesses in Krugersdorp and appreciate the support we have received
Visits to the House are, unfortunately by appointment and according to Covit 19 regulations only - house mom Thea van Rooyen is always delighted to have visitors!
