🤎🩶 Disciple Drive Food Outreach | 06 June 2026 🤎🩶

On 06 June 2026, we had the incredible privilege of once again serving our community with open hearts and willing hands 🤲🏼🥹🤎

Together, we prepared and handed out 216 hotdogs, 120 cups of cold drink, and 100 packets of chips 🌭🥤🩶

Every meal shared was more than just food, it was a reminder that love is best expressed through action, kindness, and community 😊😊 Every smile, every conversation, and every act of service reflected God's heart for His people 🩶🤎

A very special thank you to every volunteer who gave their time to prepare, serve, and love on our community 🤎 Your willingness to serve made this outreach possible, and we are so grateful for each one of you 🙏🏻🤗🙏🏻

A special shout-out to Danica, Zané Janse van Vuuren , and their father for joining our food drive and serving alongside us 🤗 Your kindness, enthusiasm, and servant hearts were such a blessing, and we loved having you as part of the Disciple Drive family 🤭🤎

On 30 May 2026, we came together once again with grateful hearts and a shared purpose: to serve our community with love, kindness, and compassion ❤️🤲🏼

We were blessed to hand out 400 hotdogs, bringing smiles, full tummies, and a reminder that even the simplest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference 🌭😊💚

A very special thank you to Luhané Van Wyk and Zané for their generous donation of sweets for the children 👧🏼👦🏻 Your contribution brought so much joy and excitement to little hearts, and we are truly grateful 🍬🍭🤍

To everyone who gave their time to help prepare, pack, and serve, thank you 🤗🙏🏻 Your willingness to show up, work together, and serve others is what makes these outreaches possible. Every helping hand plays a part in spreading hope and love throughout our community 🤍💚

💙 A Blanket. A Toy. A Little Hope. 💙
Imagine a child going to bed tonight without a warm blanket.
Imagine a mother trying her best to provide for her family but struggling to afford basic necessities.

For many families in our community, these are not just stories—they are reality.
At The Lord Is Hope Foundation, we believe that no act of kindness is ever too small. A blanket can provide warmth. A bag of clothing can restore dignity. A toy can bring joy to a child who has very little.

4 essential wrap & dough types—widely used across cuisines:

Tortilla

Ingredients

* Flour – 250 g
* Water – 150 ml
* Oil or lard – 2 tbsp
* Salt – ½ tsp

Method

1. Mix all ingredients → knead soft dough.
2. Rest 20–30 min.
3. Roll thin circles.
4. Cook on hot pan (no oil).

Texture: soft, flexible

Pita

Ingredients

* Flour – 300 g
* Water – 180 ml
* Yeast – 5 g
* Salt – 1 tsp
* Olive oil – 1 tbsp

Method

1. Knead dough and rest until doubled.
2. Divide and roll into rounds.
3. Bake at high heat (220–250°C) → puff pocket.

Texture: soft with hollow pocket

Flatbread

Ingredients

* Flour – 250 g
* Yogurt or water – 150 ml
* Baking powder – ½ tsp
* Salt – ½ tsp

Method

1. Mix and knead soft dough.
2. Rest 15–20 min.
3. Roll and cook on pan.

Texture: soft, slightly chewy

Wonton Wrapper

Ingredients

* Flour – 250 g
* Egg – 1
* Water – 80–100 ml
* Salt – ½ tsp

Method

1. Knead into firm dough.
2. Rest 30 min.
3. Roll very thin and cut squares.

Texture: thin, delicate

Chef Tips

* Rest dough → easier rolling
* Roll thin for wraps, very thin for wonton
* High heat = better puff (pita)
* Keep covered to prevent drying

🩵🤍 Disciple Drive Food Outreach | 18 April 2026 🩵🤍

Just one day later, on 18 April 2026, we continued the mission at our Disciple Drive outreach, carrying forward the same heart to serve and uplift 🤲🏼🥹🩵

We prepared and handed out 204 hotdogs, along with 5 boxes of Easter eggs, 100 packets of chips, and 12x 2l cold drinks to bless the community 🌭🍫🥤

Everything shared was a seed of love, a reminder that God’s care reaches every street, every home, and every heart 🤍🩵

There was such a beautiful sense of unity and purpose as we served together, knowing that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact 🙏🏻
