THE CRADLE OF HOPE NPC is once again deeply disturbed and disappointed by the continued inhumane treatment of homeless individuals by certain authorities and institutions tasked with protecting the rights and dignity of all people.
Homelessness is not a crime. Those living on our streets are human beings, many of whom are vulnerable, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, unemployed, or victims of circumstances beyond their control.
They deserve compassion, respect, and access to meaningful support services—not humiliation, intimidation, or treatment that strips them of their basic human dignity.
We strongly condemn any actions that dehumanise, abuse, neglect, or unfairly target homeless persons.
A society should be judged by how it treats its most vulnerable members, and there can be no justification for practices that undermine the fundamental rights and humanity of those who have the least.
We call on all authorities, public officials, and community stakeholders to work towards solutions that address the root causes of homelessness through support, rehabilitation, housing, healthcare, and social intervention rather than punitive measures.
THE CRADLE OF HOPE NPC remains committed to advocating for the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of homeless individuals and will continue to speak out against any treatment that falls short of the compassion and humanity every person deserves.
No human being should ever be treated as if their life has less value simply because they are homeless.
This afternoon we as an organisation was running around providing blankets ONCE AGAIN to the homeless. We WILL continue to serve! 🙏
