The theme for the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children in 2025 is "Letsema: Men, Women, Boys and Girls working together to end Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF)."

On the final day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month., NGW Krugersdorp took the opportunity to remember and honour all those who have been affected by breast cancer, the survivors, those currently fighting and those we have sadly lost.

In recognition of their courage and in support of ongoing awareness, everyone wore 💝PINK 🎀. Let’s stand together in solidarity and continue to promote early detection, hope and strength.

On 21 and 22 October 2025, NG Welfare hosted a motivational awareness campaigns at Laerskool Ebenhaeser in Krugersdorp West and Pro-Practicum School, presented by Mr Ivor Swartz. His inspiring sessions focused on resilience, making positive life choices, and fostering self-belief. A total of three sessions were held at each school, attended by all learners and educators. The events were a great success and were very well received by both staff and learners.

Community Baby Vest Donation and Birth Registration Awareness Initiative

Ackermans generously donated two boxes of baby vests to NG Welfare, which Tshegofatso Maimane handed over to support expectant mothers and newborns at the (local) Magaliesburg clinic.

The remaining vests were distributed to new mothers and expectant moms within the community, helping to provide much-needed baby essentials.

As part of this initiative, awareness was also raised about the importance of registering babies within 30 days of birth. This was done to help reduce cases of late birth registration, which can be a very lengthy process with many obstacles.
Thus, ensuring that every child has the right to be documented and access essential services.

A heartfelt thank you to all those involved in making a difference in the lives of these mothers and their children!
