CAD Christian Action for Dependence/Christelike Afhanklikheidsdiens

CAD Christian Action for Dependence/Christelike Afhanklikheidsdiens Christian Dependency Service (CAD) is a self-help cure group that meets weekly in towns and neighbourhoods. The leaders are all rehabilitated dependents.

The objectives of the CAD are based on the Christian ethos, values and way of life, namely:

o sobriety: ensure that recovering substance dependents refrain from the use of dependence-producing substances;

o Treatment: identify beneficiaries for treatment;

o Support: supporting recovering substance dependents by aftercare and reintegration into the community;

o Growth: provide therapeutic growt

h to recovering substance dependents and their co-dependents, and

o Resistance: promote resistance to substance dependence.
