On 1/6/2026 @ 00h00 a patroller received a call of cable theft in Fourie str. Within 10min 3 suspects were arrested and due to camera footage and a vigilant resident, they were possitively linked to the cable theft. A case was opened and SAPS will take it further

Vacant properties being vandalised

During the day on 20 May 2026, our control room received information about a cellphone that had been stolen from a business premises.

Initial investigations showed that three suspects entered the premises pretending to be customers before stealing the cellphone and leaving the area.

Our response team immediately followed up on the information received and, through quick action and teamwork, all three suspects were successfully located and apprehended. The stolen cellphone was also recovered.

This serves as a reminder for businesses and residents to stay alert, even during normal business hours. Criminals often pretend to be customers or clients to gain access to premises and look for opportunities to commit theft.

Please remain vigilant, keep valuables secure, and report any suspicious behaviour as soon as possible.
