Sinethemba, SAPS, CPF, law enforcement and neighborhood watch in blue had a street outreach yesterday in town to address the growing problem of children out of school and on the streets. As expected, the kids were in hiding or may have come into town later, but the awareness was done and hopefully ongoing. To this end I also want to make an appeal to the public not to support child begging and child labor. The moment you give them either food or money, you pay a child to stay out of school. These kids spin the story of not having food at home, but they don't tell you that the schools they attend provide meals every day. If you want to help, support Sinethemba through donations in kind, bread, canned meals, veggies, soup ingredients, fruit etc. You can cause a problem by giving them food or money or you can be part of the solution.
