Building stronger emerging businesses in the chemicals industry.

For Kwena Patric of VK Vision Enterprise, the Emerging Leadership Development Programme has helped translate mentorship and skills development into tangible business growth.

Operating in the chemicals manufacturing space, Kwena has since secured support through the SEDFA Asset Assist Programme, received a washing powder blender machine and raw materials, and is preparing for export readiness training as demand for his products continues to grow.

His journey demonstrates the value of developing capable, competitive emerging manufacturers that can respond to changing market needs, strengthen local production, and pursue new opportunities within the chemicals value chain.

In Kwena’s words:

“I would like to thank you for your mentorship during the Emerging Leadership Development Programme. Your guidance has helped me secure funding from the SEDFA Asset Assist Programme. I received a washing powder soap blender machine and raw materials.

External factors make it difficult for the business to flourish, but they also create an opportunity for consumers to look for products that are affordable and reliable. This is where I am benefiting, as the demand for my washing powder is increasing.

I will be attending export readiness training organised by SEDFA to help me supply washing powder soap to neighbouring countries.”
