Matthews Nzimande Foundation will honor Mandela's legacy by donating food parcels to ten child headed families in three provinces.
In celebration of Mandela Day, the Mathews Nzimande Foundation (MNF) decided to make a difference in their community by handing out food parcels to ten child-headed families in three provinces where Tychoflash Mining and Engineering Company operates.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in September 2021 with the purpose of addressing all community-related needs where Tychoflash Mining Contractor, Tychoflash Training and Coaching, Tychoflash Engineering and Hlomelo Property.
This is going to be their way of giving back to the community by making a positive impact in celebrating the 2024 Nelson Mandela International Day that is commemorated under the theme "It's Still in Our Hands to Combat Poverty and Inequality.".
Ten child-headed families in three provinces—Gauteng, North West, and Free State—were identified through the Mathews Nzimande Foundation Helping Hand projects that focus on restoring the dignity of these child-headed homes by renovating and handing out fully equipped properties that include electrical wiring, plumbing, painting the house and roof, as well as the overall maintenance of the home.
In Gauteng, five families were identified from Sebokeng, Sharpville, and Fochville, while three are from Welkom in the Free State Province and two from Kanana and Khuma in the North West Province.
