Incident Report:

Client from Bosman Street Fochville called in requesting reaction after noticing the front door standing open.

R13 was dispatched to the premises, where it was confirmed as a positive burglary.

R11 and EJ were dispatched to the scene for backup. SAPS was also notified and dispatched.
Several items were reported stolen.

EJ, EH, and A1 were informed.

Suspect(s) entered a home by climbing through a kitchen window that was left open for a pet. They managed to steal cellphones from the bedside tables while the occupants were asleep. This was a non-client.

Please be reminded:
* Do not leave windows open at night, even for pets
* Ensure all entry points are secure before going to bed
* Keep valuables out of sight and not within easy reach

🚨 Launching the FuelSmart Response Protection Campaign

Recent projections indicate that diesel prices in South Africa may increase by more than R7 per litre in April, driven by international oil supply disruptions and a weaker rand. There are also growing concerns about fuel availability, which could place pressure on essential services that rely on vehicle operations.

As an armed response provider, our vehicles travel thousands of kilometers every month, using over 7500 litres of diesel, responding to alarms and emergencies in Carletonville and Fochville to protect our clients and communities.

To ensure that response vehicles remain available and fuelled for genuine emergencies, we are launching the FuelSmart Response Protection Campaign.

The goal of this initiative is simple:
Reduce unnecessary alarm responses so that armed response teams are always ready when clients truly need assistance.

Across the security industry, many alarm activations are caused by avoidable triggers such as incorrect arming, environmental movement, or routine testing without prior notification. Each unnecessary call-out uses valuable fuel and can divert a response vehicle away from a potential real emergency.

You can support the FuelSmart Response Protection Campaign by:
✔ Notifying our control room before testing your alarm system
✔ Ensuring all users understand how to correctly arm and disarm the system
✔ Checking that doors, gates and windows are properly secured before arming
✔ Addressing sensors that may be triggered by pets, curtains or movement
✔ Considering camera verification technology, which allows alarms to be visually confirmed before dispatching a reaction vehicle

Together we can protect response capacity during uncertain times and strengthen safety across our communities.
