โœจ Christmas Magic in Dominionville โœจ

This weekend, Morne and Marlene organised a heart-warming Christmas party for the children of Dominionville and it turned into something truly special. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’›

Rotaract acted simply as a bridge, helping connect everyone with the right sponsors, but the real magic came from the many amazing people who stepped forward to help.

๐Ÿฅค Ultra Liquor kindly sponsored cooldrinks
๐Ÿž Flimieda Spar generously sponsored the buns
๐ŸŽ And thanks to the community, individuals could choose a child from a list and buy them a gift. With everyoneโ€™s help, even more children were sponsored so no one had to go home without a present.

Morne and his team also worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to secure extra sponsors for boerewors, a jumping castle, and to gather the volunteers who made the day run smoothly.

A massive thank you to every person who contributed. Whether you donated, sponsored, helped organise, or spread the word. Every bit of support makes a difference. โค๏ธ

Our hope is to get even more people involved in future projects.

Next up, weโ€™re looking at collecting school stationery to help the children start the new year strong. โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Weโ€™ve seen firsthand how a lack of school supplies can hold children back. This project is about more than stationery - itโ€™s about restoring pride, hope, and equal opportunity.

Weโ€™re raising funds to create Back-to-School Boxes filled with essentials like:
Exercise books
Pencils, pens & rulers
Erasers, sharpeners & glue
A pencil case & small treat

Each box costs around R250 to pack, and you can help by donating any amount (every R250 sponsors one full box).

The Daphne Lee centre is a place of safety, comfort and care for adults with disabilities, but many of the bedrooms no longer reflect the warmth and dignity the residents deserve.

Theyโ€™ve completed all the girlsโ€™ bedroom renovations and are now moving on to the boysโ€™ rooms. Some of their biggest expenses include paint and wall preparation materials - letโ€™s help them bring new life to their residentsโ€™ spaces and uplift the community!

Itโ€™s hard to believe that a place built on love and second chances could be treated this way. The Orkney & Klerksdorp Animal Shelter has been a lifeline for countless animals in our community, always showing up with care and compassion for the ones who canโ€™t speak for themselves.

Now, itโ€™s their turn to need a little care. Their office was broken into and while all the animals are safe, thereโ€™s damage that needs fixing before they can get back to what they do best.

If youโ€™re able to help with materials, repairs or donations, please reach out. Every bit truly helps them get back on their feet and continue giving these animals the love and safety they deserve.
