🚴‍♂️ Year in Review,

The Dust, the Grit, and the Unforgettable Miles
As the dust settles and the quiet returns to the open roads, we look back on an incredible journey across the 2026 Oryx Unbound Gravel Series.

Every race told a story. From the crisp morning air and soaring climbs of RACE2THESKY, to the wide-open horizon of MATSA, and the scorching intensity of SUNGAZER. We pushed through the endless, rugged plains of RACE2THEKAROO, before bringing it all home with a legendary finish at BATTLE OF THE BIKES.

Behind every start line was anticipation; behind every finish line, a collection of stories—cheered-on breakthroughs, shared water points, battle-tested bikes, and the unwavering spirit of gravel cycling. You showed up, fought for every kilometer, and made this series something truly special.

To every single rider who lined up, our generous sponsors, our venue hosts, and the dedicated crews behind the scenes: thank you. You didn't just ride a series; you made history on the dirt.

The road doesn't end here. Rest those legs, gear up, and get ready—we’ll see you back on the gravel soon! 🏁🔥

Dust, Determination, and Glory…

As the dust finally settles across the vast, unforgiving horizons of Central South Africa, the Oryx Unbound Gravel Series closes its chapter for 2026. What a journey it has been. From the thin, breathless mountain air of the eastern escarpment to the sun-scorched flats of the Karoo, this year’s calendar tested the limits of grit, gear, and sheer human resolve.

Through five premier events, hundreds of kilometers of brutal terrain, and relentless mental battles, only the most consistent and resilient warriors carved their names into the history books after an unforgettable year of racing, the 2026 series champions earned every inch of their glory.

Whether riders were tackling the premier Unbound, pushing through the mid-distance Quest, or sprinting through the fast-paced Dash route, every distance showcased incredible grit, sportsmanship, and determination across the gravel roads of Central South Africa.

Congratulations once again to all our champions and every rider who conquered their distance throughout the season—thank you for your incredible support, determination, and passion in making the 2026 Oryx Unbound Series an absolute success!

We also extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners whose continuous backing made this entire series possible. Your commitment to the sport, our riders, and the gravel community is what drives these events forward year after year.

It's race week! 🚲🔥
The stage is set for the grand finale of the 2026 ORYX UNBOUND SERIES—the ultimate showdown at the BATTLE OF THE BIKES!
Race week has officially arrived. Across the historic landscapes, the tension is electric as riders gather for the grand finale of the Oryx Unbound Gravel Series: the ultimate showdown at the Battle of the Bikes.

As the sun prepares to rise on Saturday, the mass start will unleash a wave of grit and determination across all three signature distances. In the high-speed Dash, explosive young guns and fast-paced sprinters are ready to lock horns in a flat-out drag race where tactical positioning from the gun will mean everything.

Meanwhile, the mid-distance Quest arena is set for a masterclass in tactical warfare; seasoned diesel engines and clever tacticians have been circling each other all season, and they are primed to break away on the rugged gravel sectors to fight tooth and nail for the series crown.

And then, looking out toward the horizon, lies the Unbound. This is where legends are forged and pure psychological endurance meets physical breaking point. The top contenders in the series hunt are hiding nothing, playing their cards close to their chests as they prepare to dance on the pedals through hours of relentless terrain and crushing isolation. Who has paced their season right to peak on this exact day? Who will crack under the pressure, and who will seize glory in the closing kilometres?
The stage is set, the history books are open, and only the strongest will survive the ultimate test.
Let the battle commence!
