WHO WE ARE
The Motivators Youth Development Forum is a non-profit organisation that was established on the 23rd January 2017 by a group of optimistic young individuals who want to encourage other young people to deal with youth issues in a manageable and productive way through. The idea is to work with other youth and youth organisations to develop projects that are attractive, sustainable and imp

lementable and also to respond to youth needs in the communities. WHY WE EXIST
Galeshewe is a township in Kimberley within Sol Plaatjie Municipality in the Northern Cape Province. Kimberley is currently experiencing skills shortages and an increase in youth unemployment. The consequences of unemployment include a low self esteem of oneself, substance abuse and risky behaviour. Unemployment has also lead to an increase in crime in the Northern Cape as people do not invest in small business initiatives and there is a lack of government intervention. Motivators Youth Development Forum aims to encourage and enable young people to participate actively in identifying youth issues and to collaborate in creating social strategies for their communities. We believe that young people have the energy, creativity and will do things differently in their lifetime. They are an asset to the development of their communities and with the right guidance and support can become influential leaders of positive change.
