All systems were go this Easter weekend as we proudly partnered with Coach Frans Mothapo to host the Annual Soccer Tournament in Polokwane, Limpopo.

This program gives young people a safe, structured alternative to street life, drugs, and gang exposure—while building discipline, teamwork, and positive values through sport.

Over the recent holiday season, we also undertook a bold journey to support five major community projects spanning Kimberley and Polokwane in South Africa, and Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. These moments are deeply meaningful and would not be possible without the belief and partnership of those who stand with us. Last weekend, we had the great honor and privilege of attending and witnessing IPrefer Track’s first event — and we could not be more inspired.

It was a tremendous opportunity to meet and interview some of the young athletes. The Rooted Gem Foundation is fully behind IPrefer Track, and we want to express our great support for the IPrefer Track program and the powerful impact they are having on young athletes. We are rooting for them as they continue to make a lasting difference in young lives across Zimbabwe.

Currently, the club trains youth across Bulawayo schools and has already produced:

· University scholarships in the USA
· National and regional competitors
· Athletes scouted by international programs

As we look ahead, our commitment to the development of these future athletes deepens — creating opportunities for growth and helping them build a more sustainable future.

It has truly been an honour journeying alongside Helping Hands in Zimbabwe over the past five years — an organisation led by Mrs Bhebhe, whose servant heart and unwavering commitment to community upliftment is felt across Zimbabwe.

This year, we were privileged to partner once again in a community we have consistently served, donating clothing and food parcels, and sharing a Christmas lunch with approximately 120 families in an informal settlement in Killarney, Bulawayo. Moments like these remind us that dignity, care, and presence can restore hope.

As we look ahead, our commitment deepens — with a growing focus on supporting children’s access to education, creating opportunities for growth, and helping families build a more sustainable future.
